Tracing development changes to work items

You can use the Current work feature to associate a work item (a user story or bug) with development changes to rules. To help ensure transparency and traceability in your development environment, specify the work item to associate changes with before starting development.

The work item that you specify becomes the default Work item to associate setting when you create a rule, check in a rule, or save a rule as a new rule. If Agile Workbench is integrated with Pega Agile Studio, you can view these development changes on the Related updates tab of a work item.

1. In Designer Studio, click the Current work icon on the developer toolbar.
2. In the What are you currently working on? field, enter the name of a user story or bug, or press the Down Arrow key to select from a list of available work items.
3. Click Submit. Development changes are now associated with the work item that you specified.
